Calling all budding astronomers and Harry Potter fans with an interest in space! Join UNH observatory director and astronomy instructor John S. Gianforte for a presentation and discussion on some historical aspects of astronomy. You’ll touch on some accomplishments and discoveries made by Galileo, Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler and learn how real astronomy has been woven into the tapestry of the Harry Potter universe. You might even see a resemblance between characters in the Harry Potter stories and real astronomers of the past!
