GLIMR stands for geosynchronous, literal imaging, and monitoring radiometer. It's NASA's next ocean color mission with state-of-the-art hyperspectral imaging capabilities. GLIMR will be launched into a geosynchronous orbit over the Gulf of Mexico and Western Hemisphere.
