Presenter Bio: Dr. Linehan is a nurse practitioner in pediatric urology and nephrology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she has been for thirteen years. She received a history degree and nursing degree from UVM, and master’s degree and PhD in Nursing from UMass Amherst.
Her primary clinical work and research focus is on voiding dysfunction and pelvic floor dysfunction, in the context of adverse childhood experiences, and in the context of athletics, and in the context of spina bifida. Her recent work with athletes in clinic has led to the development of a screening tool to measure athletic incontinence among athletes, called the AWIST.
She has a strong interest in nurse practitioner education and training and has published an article about precepting nurse practitioner students and has taught a variety of workshops for eight years about improving NP precepting practices.
She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Hampshire where she teaches Pediatrics. She is also an assistant professor at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College where she teaches medical students and residents.
