Sarah Rigg, Director of the UNH Equine Program discusses the program, its academic options, the equine facility, riding opportunities, equestrian teams, and other student opportunities. UNH’s Equine program offers students a B.S. degree in Equine Studies with a choice of three options: Equine-Assisted Therapies and Activities; Equine Industry
and Management; and Equine Science.
The Equine program offers a unique and well-rounded
experience for students with a passion for horses and interested in a career in
the horse industry. Comprehensive, science-based studies are complemented by the outstanding on-campus facilities. All equine students
share a core curriculum rooted in the biological and equine sciences, then
choose one of the three specialized tracks of study. In addition, all equine students
complete an internship that broadens their real-world skill building. An Equine
Studies minor is also available.
