UNH students who study in Classics, Humanities and Italian Studies (CHI)
gain a wide variety of skills through a combination of different
disciplines, starting with linguistic training in Greek, Italian, Latin
and other languages and critical interpretation of literature, history,
art, philosophy and other humanities. Our faculty, drawn from CHI and
many other Liberal Arts departments, cover a huge range of different
time periods, places and cultures, giving students access to many
different perspectives and sources of knowledge. We explore fundamental
questions of human life and consider how they have been answered by
others, while also helping to prepare students practically for
meaningful, productive and successful careers in many fields. During
their time with us, CHI students are part of a vibrant, student-centered
learning environment with a wealth of co-curricular opportunities.
