With issues around racism and racial justice in the national spotlight following the killing of George Floyd by the police, alumni are invited to listen and learn from African-American members of the UNH family as they discuss what it means to be black in America. Tito Jackson ’99 ’18H, a former Boston City Council member and entrepreneur, and Julian Maduro ’21, a student who helped organize a Black Lives Matter rally in Durham, will share how their experiences shape their perspectives on the challenges of systemic racism facing our country and campus. President Dean and Provost Jones will join them to share details about a new university-wide action plan designed to address racism and intolerance, increase education about racism and create opportunities for everyone to become anti racist. Panelists will take questions and share their views on how UNH can build a better campus climate.
