Research
and data are essential for making informed decisions and presenting a
compelling case to grant funders, policy makers, community members, partners,
and stakeholders. A wide variety of research exists pertaining to trail and
recreation development, but homing in on what’s most relevant can be time
consuming. Your project may require data unique to your location, and it may
feel daunting to know where to start. In this webinar, we’ll point you to some
valuable data sources to help strengthen your planning processes and
communication strategies. We’ll also discuss tools and methods for generating
your own data, such as trail counters and user surveys.
This
webinar is part of the Developing Interconnections for Regional Trails (DIRT)
project, a collaboration between UNH Extension staff, UNH faculty, and external
nonprofit and agency partners, supported by the UNH Collaborative Research Excellence
(CoRE) Initiative. For
