Webinar Overview
The NH Alliance for Healthy Aging (NHAHA) is
pleased to host the webinar, Answering
the Call to Care: Creating
Quality Jobs for Direct Care Workers in NH. This is the second
webinar led by the NHAHA Workforce Strategic Priority Workgroup.
As we explored in the first webinar of this
series, direct care workers are a valuable part of the healthcare system and
the demand for workers is projected to markedly increase. While direct care
work is a rewarding profession, issues such as low wages, poor benefits, and a
lack of career advancement has led some workers to seek employment outside of
this sector.
In our second webinar, our experienced
panel will focus on NH based solutions to address the direct care
workforce shortage including:
- Current training and
apprenticeship opportunities
- Examples of NH based programs
that target recruitment and retention of workers
- Policy reforms
- Advocacy actions to implement
solutions
Who Should Attend this Webinar?
